Hamilton reveals new Ferrari project with stunning car: 'Dream come true'

Lewis Hamilton shares his newly renovated Ferrari F40 on social media after the iconic road car spent more than 30 years sitting in a garage.
Hamilton also took the car to Maranello to bring it back to life and shared photos of its details, as well as the team who worked on it.
In his caption on social media, the Ferrari F1 driver wrote: "My very own F40. This is the car of my dreams and has been for as long as I can remember. As a kid I dreamt of having one. When I joined Ferrari last year I made sure to have one with me on my first day at Maranello. That’s how much it means to me.
"These cars are works of art and incredibly rare, so when I found this one, covered in dust after being sat in a garage for over thirty years, I knew I had to bring her home.
"First to Maranello, where the master engineers and mechanics at the factory worked for weeks to bring her back to life. Massive thank you to everyone who had a hand in this project.

"This has truly been a dream come true. I can’t wait to share more with you all. Stay tuned …," the seven-time world champion concluded.
Hamilton shares clear message to Ferrari ahead of the Italian Grand Prix
Up next on the Formula 1 calendar is the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Hamilton is excited to contest Ferrari's home weekend for the second time in red.
He told GPblog, among others: "Yeah, we're in a much different place than we have been in the past, obviously, than last year. We're still second in the Constructors' Championship.

"We've got a lot of positives to take from this first half. The next ones, we really need to turn up the heat if we're going to have any chance of getting these guys," he referred to Mercedes and McLaren.
