Lewis Hamilton is a seasoned F1 driver, with seven world championships to his name along with many other accolades. As such, his emotional outbursts in the media "cannot be believed" according to F1 expert Christian Danner, who also doubles down on a prediction he made prior to the start of the 2025 season. According to the German former F1 driver, after describing Hamilton's words throughout the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend as 'theatrical' and 'performances' in which he sometimes issues one-word responses and others a flow of words' as Danner puts it, the Brit knows exactly what he's doing.
The reason? His veteranship in F1 and the toughness that comes with it.
'I don't believe Hamilton's emotional outbursts!'
"Hamilton presents this very theatrically," said Danner speaking at Sport.de.
"Personally, however, I can't imagine that this is not consciously done and that he is a prisoner of his feelings and all this is just an outburst of his emotions.
I don't think there's much to expect from Lewis until the end of the year, apart from what he's shown so far, which was okay, but not record-breaking.
- Christian Danner"I don't believe him, he's far too hard-boiled and hardened by his years in Formula 1 for that. He will know how he shows himself. 'My Hamilton-Leclerc prediction came true'
Danner then reasserts his position from before the start of the season regarding the Hamilton vs Leclerc duel, and stresses he doesn't expect much from what he describes as a merely 'okay Lewis.'
"The pure facts are clear: what I said in our season preview, that he won't make a dent against Leclerc, has come to pass. I don't think anything will change there.
"I don't think there's much to expect from Lewis until the end of the year, apart from what he's shown so far, which was okay, but not record-breaking," the German concluded.
