In a new interview, seven-time world champion and current
Mercedes driver
Lewis Hamilton says he has no regrets about never moving to
Ferrari. This is because he says he would rather help build up a losing team, rather than reap the benefits of an established winning team.
"I don't live with regrets", Hamilton answered when asked if he doesn't regret never having represented the legendary
Ferrari in Formula One.
"I make mistakes and see what I could have done differently, but I don't think if I could have done something in one place or another", the Briton said in conversation with
AS.com.
Starting from humility
Hamilton explains that building a losing team makes the hard-fought victory taste all the sweeter. He explains: “I prefer to get to the losing team, when I got to Mercedes they were fifth in the Constructors' World Championship and we started from humility."
"The top teams have all the records and successes, so the victories there have a lower meaning", Hamilton concluded.
