The Miami Grand Prix is scheduled to take place in May, but it is possible that the event will not take place after all. That is what the American medium Miami Herald announced. Local residents would like to put a stop to the race.
With the race weekend in Miami, there should be two GPs to watch in the United States this season. Everything seemed to be in order prior to the season, until angry local residents went to court with the request to cancel the event. According to them, the noise pollution is unbearable.
It is expected that hosting Formula 1 will cause up to 97 decibels of noise within a 3.5 kilometer radius. According to the lawsuit, this could cause serious disruption and bodily harm, leading residents to believe that the situation is intolerable.

Judges seem to be waiting for the time being

However, lawyers on both sides argue that the judge should wait to start an investigation. Indeed, it would first be important to see if the city council issues a special event permit. Alan Fine, who works as a judge in Florida, states to the medium that it is an uncomfortable situation for his profession as well.
