Full results FP3 United States: Red Bull fastest, Mercedes disappoints

Red Bull Racing seem to have found something after Friday's test at the Circuit of the Americas. The speed was already there on the first day of the weekend, but it wasn't reflected in the fastest time of Max Verstappen. In the third free practice both he and Sergio Perez were at the top of the timesheet for a long time.

Red Bull on top in FP3 USA

Perez managed to hold on to the lead during the session and ended FP3 as the fastest. Verstappen set a faster time in the final phase, but saw it deleted because he exceeded track limits. Therefore he had to settle for third place behind Carlos Sainz.

Lewis Hamilton also set a faster time than Perez, but he also lost his best time for exceeding track limits. The Brit dropped to sixth place behind teammate Valtteri Bottas.
