George Russell finished a wet FP1 session on top of the leaderboard ahead of the
Hungarian Grand Prix at the
Hungaroring. Very few laps were recorded as drivers had to negotiate two red flags and a very wet track.
Last year's pole sitter Russell finished as the fastest driver, though the leaderboard remained unimportant due to the weather conditions.
The weather is expected to improve for Sunday's Grand Prix according to this weather forecast.
Daniel Ricciardo made his
F1 return and was slightly behind
Yuki Tsunoda. Mercedes headed and footed the leaderboard, whilst Red Bull were towards the bottom.
