Former F1 driver Jan Lammers believes Lando Norris has a stronger mentality than everyone thinks. In the NOS F1 podcast, he defended the Briton saying that he did not believe he was weak.
Norris is not weak; it's other people who are
He started, "I think Norris is not as mentally weak as people think. It's more the perception that people have, and he's open about it."
Norris has been very vocal about his doubts and how he cant be mentally affected by rad races. This has made some people view him as 'weak'.
Lammers, however, thinks that other people may be projecting onto Norris.
"Others may be much more insecure and doubtful. They have a tough facade and a tough mask on, and they try to hide that.’’
Norris is often compared to his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who is generally known for his calm and cool composure.
Lammers said, "
Look at Oscar Piastri, when he then drives around in this role [behind Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc], that very toughness from the races he wins is also not so visible.’’
