All Formula 1 teams will have to close their factory completely for three weeks in March or April. At Ferrari, everything has been locked for some time and that means that they can get back to work relatively early in April, provided the coronavirus situation allows it.
According to reports from Corriere Dello Sport, all activities in Maranello will resume on 14 April. However, there is an important condition attached to this: "The continuity of the supply chain must be guaranteed."
At AlphaTauri the factory will only close down completely this week, Franz Tost reported on Friday. All teams with factories in the United Kingdom have been obliged to close since last week. The British government has laid down that in a new package of measures to combat the coronavirus.
