Esteban Ocon has revealed the harrowing details of a 42G impact he suffered at the Miami Grand Prix during the 2022 season.
I went off, I hit the wall. I hit both my knees and could barely walk afterwards."

Ocon recalled a crash he had during Formula 1's first trip to Miami in 2022, hitting a concrete wall in third practice while driving for Alpine.
The Frenchman explained on the YouTube channel Legend that Ocon struggled to walk after the incident.
He said: “I took 42G – for people who want to see that crash, it’s not that impressive, but I hit a concrete wall. That was in Miami, in FP3, in 2022.
"I went off, I hit the wall. I hit both my knees and could barely walk afterwards."
That section of track has also caught out other drivers; Carlos Sainz also hit the barrier in that part of the circuit in 2022, damaging his Ferrari.

“Ocon added: I remember, the next morning I was in the shower and I collapsed. I lost my balance and fell, I was not well at all. I managed, starting from last, to finish eighth in that race. I was peeing red, that was not great!”

Ocon isn't a fan of adding more Sprints in F1

Ocon is now driving for Haas after joining the American team this season, alongside rookie Oliver Bearman.
They sit ninth in the Constructors' Championship and are nine points behind eighth-placed Sauber with six rounds to go.
The French driver has a best result of fifth place, and Ocon doesn't want to see Formula 1 add more Sprints to the calendar.
