As always, let’s take a look at the two main Formula 1 news stories from today, Thursday, October 9. Max Verstappen is considering moving his GT3 team, Verstappen.com Racing, from Ferrari to Porsche, as GPblog revealed on Wednesday.
A switch to the Porsche 911 GT3-R would make sense, given that it is currently considered the fastest car in the GT3 field. GPblog previously reported that a meeting between Verstappen and Porsche may have already taken place.
When contacted for comment on the matter — and on Porsche’s potential involvement in such a collaboration — the manufacturer has now issued a response.

According to
F1-Insider, Ferrari president John Elkann is reportedly reconsidering his stance on keeping Frédéric Vasseur in charge of the Scuderia’s Formula 1 operation, with a new plan beginning to take shape behind the scenes.
With Vasseur’s future now said to be uncertain, and Christian Horner set to be free to join any team in any capacity from the spring of 2026, the German outlet claims that Elkann views the former Red Bull boss as his top choice to lead Ferrari into the new era.
