Toto Wolff and Zak Brown react to Christian Horner getting booed and a scary incident in Japan: recap the best news of the day with GPblog here!

Williams Racing driver suffers heavy crash during Suzuka session

During a test session at the Japanese circuit, the British youngster — who serves as WilliamsFormula 1 reserve driver for the 2026 season — lost control of the car through the iconic 130R corner. The car launched over the TecPro barrier before coming to rest upside down on the grass beyond the track.
Fortunately, Browning emerged from the crash unharmed and later confirmed he was feeling no pain following the incident.
He explained that sudden rain caught him out, causing the car to aquaplane and leaving him with no control, while also praising the effectiveness of the HANS device, which he said played a key role in protecting his neck.

Tense Horner moment sparks priceless reaction from Brown and Wolff

A newly released preview from the upcoming season of Netflix’s Drive to Survive has shed fresh light on the final chapter of Christian Horner’s time at Red Bull.
The first episode of season eight, titled New Kids on the Track, centres on the F175 launch event — the large-scale showcase held last year in which all ten Formula 1 teams revealed their new liveries during a single evening.
One moment from the clip shows Horner being heavily booed by the crowd at London’s O2 Arena, with the former Red Bull team principal and CEO addressing the incident during the episode. McLaren CEO Zak Brown and Mercedes CEO and team principal Toto Wolff also feature in the footage, openly sharing their reactions to the hostile reception received by their former rival.
