Verstappen's private jet questioned by fellow driver: 'It doesn't make sense'

Cadillac driver Valtteri Bottas believes having a private jet is a waste of money when asked about which drivers have one alongside Max Verstappen.

On What's Next's Instagram, Bottas shared his thoughts on drivers having private jets.
"Quite a few drivers actually. We've got 'Checo' (Perez) for sure. He's got one. Fernando (Alonso) has one, Max, those (drivers) at least."
However, the Cadillac driver argues having a private jet is not worth it.

"I don't have a plane because financially it doesn't make sense. It is more efficient to charter. With certain things, I don't like wasting money. So simple reason," the Finn concluded.

Verstappen's private jet

The four-time world champion owns a 2022 Falcon 8X, which can cover a whopping 11,945 kilometres before having to refuel. He bought his new plane called 'Unleash the Lion!' in 2025, upgrading from the Falcon 900EX.
