In a collaborative effort with Entertainment Weekly and F1: The Movie, the Formula 1 drivers took on a special type of challenge: dramatically reading Rihanna's 'Shut Up and Drive'.
The movie based on Formula 1 will be arriving in theatres shortly. While
GPBlog has seen it and wrote a review, fans can catch it starting on 25 June.
The F1 grid dramatically reads Rihanna
Similar to the games, Grill the Grid features, a media company based in America, Enterainment Weekly, had the current F1 grid read lyrics off of a cue card. That catch was; it was a Rihanna song and it had to be dramatic.
The video shows Mercedes's
George Russell,
Williams' Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz, Racing Bull's
Liam Lawson and
Isack Hadjar, and Sauber's
Nico Hulkenberg.
Some key highlights of the video are Russell saying, "That sounds wrong," and Albon laughing, "Why do I have to say that bit?"

Lawson and Hadjar, who regularly complete skits for Racing Bull's social media, give the fans exactly what they want: blue steel, the best of Rihanna, and, of course, a flair for the dramatics.
