F1 Full Results | Leclerc wins the British Grand Prix after problems for Antonelli

Antonelli was closing up on Leclerc on much fresher tyres but ran into troubles late on in the race and finished 16th. He did finish the race in ninth, but was given a five second penalty after running off track several times with a damaged car.

Max Verstappen looked set to complete the podium before a dramatic spin brought his race to an end. The race finished behind the safety car, after there was U-turn on a decision to bring in the safety car ahead of the final lap.

George Russell recovered to second after pitting with a slow puncture. He finished ahead of Lewis Hamilton after deciding not to pit for soft tyres under the safety car unlike the rest of the leaders. Lando Norris and Isack Hadjar completed the top five.

It was a great day for the Racing Bulls who finished sixth and seventh with Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad. Gabriel Bortoleto finished eighth for Audi with the two Alpines of Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly rounding out the points position.

Oscar Piastri finished 11th after his race was hurt after breaking his front wing on the opening lap and ran for most of the race towards the back of the pack.

In total there were three retirements during the British Grand Prix, with Alex Albon and Nico Hulkenberg also failing to finish.
