Williams team principal James Vowles has weighed in on the changes set to be introduced to the 2026 regulations starting from the Miami Grand Prix. Yesterday finally brought some clarity - at least for now - to the much-debated 2026 regulations, with attention now turning to whether the changes set to be introduced in Miami will put an end to the controversy or at least ease the concerns raised over the opening three Grands Prix.
“These are sensible changes and the teams, FIA and Formula 1 have done good work over the past few weeks to agree them,”
Vowles commented on the news.
He added that while the racing has been strong so far this season, it is right for the sport to keep looking for ways to improve, and said he is looking forward to seeing the impact of the changes from Miami onwards.
“F1 has seen some great racing so far this year but it is right that we always look at ways to keep improving. We look forward to seeing them in action from Miami onwards.”
