Ten Formula 1 team, all of which have their own interests at the front of their minds. It is therefore understandable why the seven teams that don't use a Ferrari engine have opposed the FIA and Ferrari settlement.
Earlier this month, the FIA announced they had reached a 'settlement' with Ferrari regarding the investigation into their engine last season. However, the seven teams that use a power unit not supplied by Ferrari voiced their frustration and dissatisfaction at the outcome.
The former-F1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone is struggling to see how a compromise between all the parties can be reached.
“The teams must sue the FIA," Ecclestone told the F1 Insider.
"It is about millions of dollars, which I think they are entitled to. If Ferrari was so innocent, why didn't they make the settlement with Jean Todt public? To me, that looks like a confession.
