This weekend Formula One heads to Sochi for the
Russian Grand Prix. As always the
FIA press conference will take place on Thursday, where the drivers will appear in pairs for the press.
Kimi Raikkonen returns this week after the Finn got infected with the coronavirus during the weekend in Zandvoort. He had to miss the race in the Netherlands and Monza. He forms a duo with his old teammate at
Ferrari,
Sebastian Vettel, on Thursday. Also, old team-mates appearing together in front of the press are
Esteban Ocon and
Sergio Perez. The two drivers drove together for the Racing Point team, now
Aston Martin.
Another interesting duo is
Valtteri Bottas and
Antonio Giovinazzi. Bottas was recently announced as the replacement for Raikkonen at
Alfa Romeo. It is not yet clear if Giovinazzi will keep his seat with the team, but questions will surely be asked about that during the press conference.
Max Verstappen will sit next to
George Russell, Mercedes' new addition for 2022. Who knows, maybe we will see the two drivers next year more often next to each other in press conferences.
Lewis Hamilton will appear next to
Yuki Tsunoda. The press conference starts at 10:30 UK time on Thursday.
