Formula 2 driver Alex Dunne has hinted at some significant plans for the future after parting ways with the McLaren Driver Development Programme. "Still two important rounds left to focus on this year, very excited for what’s to come."

GPblog understands the Irish driver will probably go to the Red Bull junior programme.
The Formula 2 driver sits fifth in the standings, 58 points behind championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli with two rounds to go.
He took to Instagram and wrote that he is eagerly anticipating the future ahead: "From today I’ve mutually decided to part ways with the McLaren Driver Development programme.
"I’d like to thank every individual at McLaren that has helped me develop and improve as a driver.
"To have my first opportunity to drive an F1 car followed by two FP1 sessions is something I’ll always hold very close to my heart, I wish them all the best for the future. Thank you Papaya family. GPblog could first report that
the young driver was on Red Bull's radar. Then, top advisor
Helmut Marko told GPblog:
"We are talking with all fast drivers and he is fast." GPblog understood that representatives from Red Bull have already spoken with the driver's management team, and that the interest is mutual and the Irishman is also open to a potential move.
As of this Thursday, there nothing has been agreed between the driver and Red Bull.
