Former driver Robert Doornbos has been hugely critical of Yuki tsunoda and his time at Red Bull, saying his stint at the Austrian team has been "the worst in the history of the team".
Tsunoda has been Max Verstappen's teammate since getting behind the wheel of the RB21 at his home Grand Prix. However, since the Japanese Grand Prix, Tsunoda has struggled severely with the Red Bull car.

Yuki Tsunoda currently sits in P18 in the drivers' championship, scoring just seven points in 12 races since moving from Racing Bulls.

The performance of Yuki in the second seat is the worst performance ever in the history of the team, for a second driver," stated Doornbos to Motorsport.com.
Tsunoda has scored seven points in his first 12 races for Red Bull Racing. This puts the Japanese driver at a total of ten points, as he scored three points with Racing Bulls. So far, this has resulted in an eighteenth place in the championship, while teammate Verstappen is in third position.
"It's a very painful realisation. I think Yuki is a great guy, and I believe he has shown some really good things in his relatively long F1 career.
"But at Red Bull, it is far from beautiful what he does with that car. That's just painful for the entire team. That doesn't deserve a seat for 2026. I think he realises that himself.
