Critisism on Red Bull's 'unprofessional' attitude: "Super unorganised"

Red Bull have been pushing in recent months to freeze the engine regulations from 2022. This would allow them to continue with their current engines despite the departure of Honda. According to Christijan Albers, this does entail quite a risk.

In De Telegraaf's Formula 1 podcast, Albers questioned whether Red Bull were wise to bet on this. "What if Honda doesn't have a good engine next year? Then Red Bull has a serious problem, because they can't develop the engine until 2025."

Albers does not like threats from Red Bull

The choice to return to Renault might have been safer, but Red Bull didn't like it at all as can be seen from their serious or otherwise threats to leave Formula 1 with both Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri. Albers finds this attitude unprofessional.

"Everything with that team has to be cool, eccentric and flashy. But if you look at them from a distance, they are super disorganized. Nothing against Max Verstappen, but other teams are much more professional in terms of communication," the former F1 driver said.
