The answer is a resounding 'yes'. Perez grabbed the lead right at the start and did not relinquish it until the finish line. The Mexican's resounding victory can also count on much appreciation from GPblog readers, as Perez was also voted Driver of the Day by you. The race winner did so with a convincing 63 per cent of votes.
His teammate Max Verstappen also received a significant share of votes: 11 per cent of readers thought the Dutchman deserved the honorary title. However, it was Daniel Ricciardo who came 2nd with 17%.
