Valtteri Bottas was left asking for more after qualifying in second, as the Fin was agonizingly close to taking pole from Sebastian Vettel.
Bottas put his foot down early in Q3 but was immediately trumped by Vettel, something that doesn't sit well with the Mercedes driver.
"It was close to Ferrari and it's always annoying when you are so close," Bottas told Sky Sports F1's Paul Di Resta.
"Starting from the front row is good for this race and happy to go for tomorrow."
A man of few words as always. Maybe it's a Finnish thing.
Bottas has out-qualified Lewis Hamilton again, showing that he's very capable of putting pressure on his teammate once again. Yes, he missed out on pole, but Bottas shouldn't be beating himself up too much over that.
What he should be doing is looking in his rearview mirrors tomorrow in the race. Max Verstappen, who starts from third, is on softer tyres than Bottas, and he will no doubt try to make a move early in the race to rob Bottas from his place.
