Gambling sites have also shortened Max Verstappen’s chances of winning the 2025 world title after his victory at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Verstappen was trailing
Lando Norris by 49 points entering this year's Las Vegas Grand Prix. Thanks to his victory in 'Sin City', the gap was first cut to 42 points.
However, hours after the session concluded, the Dutchman found himself only 24 points behind the McLaren driver, and level on points with
Oscar Piastri ahead of the final two rounds of the season. That is because
both McLaren drivers were disqualified for skid wear issues.

After the conclusion of the previous weekend, Verstappen’s charge toward a fifth world title was reflected by the betting sites. While Norris' odds remain low at 4/11 (1.36), the Dutchman is now rated at 7/2 (4.50).
Despite being tied with Verstappen in the standings, Piastri's chances have dropped significantly. His odds increased to 20/1 (21.00) after the conclusion of the 22nd round of the season.
