Andreas Seidl is confident that Formula 1 teams will come to an agreement in the next week regarding the regulations for 2021. All the teams met in Japan and reports suggest that only four teams currently agree with Liberty Media's suggestion. McLaren is one of these teams.
Despite not having the majority of support, Seidl is confident that a deal can be done.
“The meeting was constructive," Seidl was quoted by GrandPrix247. "I am sure that by the end of next week we will have a set of regulations that meets the goals that were set two years ago.”
Seidl's confidence is not matched by all the team bosses. Red Bull's Christian Horner is not optimistic and believes that Formula 1 are a long way from reaching any agreement.
“Boris Johnson is closer to a deal than we are!" Horner said.

It will be interesting to see what happens and if Liberty Media's promise of releasing the 2021 rule changes by the end of October is upheld.
