Fernando Alonso is now 41 years old, but he would not consider quitting F1 (again) at all. In fact, according to Mike Krack of his future team Aston Martin, the Spaniard could be on the grid for many years to come.
Aston Martin's aim was to be able to compete for world titles within five years. The team announced this prior to last season. A little mathemetics tells us that Alonso still has three years to go before he can win his third world title.

Not surprised

A driver of 44 or 45 in F1. In the distant past it was quite normal. Nowadays it is not. “I would not be surprised if this is going on, to be honest," he told media, including RaceFans at Spa-Francorchamps. "So from that point of view, yes."
The team is not at all worried that Alonso's form will disappear in what will be his 20th season in F1 next year. "We always say 40 is the new 30, so from that point of view, he's quite a young driver," Krack joked.
