At the end of the 1990s, Krack came to work as a test engineer at BMW, after which he quickly caused a furore and made the switch to Sauber. From 2003 he worked with Felipe Massa and was given an important role within the team as Race Engineer. At BMW Sauber, as the formation was called after that, he encountered a very young Sebastian Vettel. However, when in 2008 it chose to focus on the new season and thereby squandered Robert Kubica's title chances, Krack decided to leave.

Step to Aston Martin

In the years that followed, he had periods at Kolles & Heinz Union, Hitech, BMW and Porsche, where he held various positions. Although he had important roles within the brands, he somewhat disappeared from the outside world. However, in mid-January of 2022, that changed when Aston Martin announced that Krack must ensure continuity within the team for the coming seasons. With the ambition to grab the world title in a few seasons, he has a big challenge ahead of him for the time being.
