Charles Leclerc has stated that he is 'not doing the job' for Ferrari after finishing sixth during British Grand Prix qualifying.
The Monegasque was extremely upset with himself after his performance, cursing at his own ability.
Leclerc was unable to improve on his solid practice form, where he topped FP3.
It is very tight at the top end of the grid, as although Leclerc's time was only good enough for sixth place, it was still only +0.229 behind polesitter Max Verstappen.

The 27-year-old will line up on the third row of the grid just behind Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton, who was also disappointed with his eventual qualifying effort.

Leclerc 'not doing the job' with Ferrari in qualifying

"It's more than getting away from me, I'm not doing the job," Leclerc began in the paddock to GPblog and other media present.
"I think since the beginning of the season I've been performing very well in the races and looking back at races, there are actually not many races where I would go back to change something that I've done inside the car.
"Unfortunately, when I look back at qualifications, which used to be my strength, there are many qualifications where I would like to go back and change something. Because every time I get to Q3, for some reason, it's not clicking at the moment."

Leclerc has scored 26 poles so far in his Formula 1 career and has always excelled on Saturdays; However, he seems to have taken a confidence hit in 2025.
Neither Ferrari driver has won a Grand Prix this year, with Lewis Hamilton's sprint victory still being the only time that the Scuderia have seen the chequered flag first.
"We've had good qualifying, but we didn't have great qualifying. And again, this used to be my strength. So I'm not happy with the level that I'm showing," Leclerc continued.
"In qualifying, we've got issues for sure, particularly today from Q2 onwards, we were fighting with something inside the car, but it's not an excuse, I need to be better."
