Valtteri Bottas has secured a good starting position for Saturday's Sao Paulo GP. Behind the Finn, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz will start. A good starting position is important on this circuit. It is a short distance to the first corners. It will therefore be a battle for the first corner between Bottas and Verstappen, who will start from P2.

When does the Brazilian GP start?

The Brazilian Grand Prix will start at 17:00 on Sunday evening. The drivers will do 71 laps at Interlagos. The finish is expected around 18:30.

On Friday we saw that Lewis Hamilton was fastest in the first free practice and in qualifying. The Briton managed to take pole position, but due to a violation with the DRS mechanism the 36-year old driver was disqualified and his pole position was taken away.

Hamilton is fast

On Saturday afternoon, Bottas won the sprint race. He will therefore start at the front of the grid for the Brazilian Grand Prix. Hamilton was able to drive from P20 to fifth place. Due to a grid penalty for changing an engine part, he will have to start from tenth on Sunday. He will do everything possible to drive as far forward as possible to limit the gap to Verstappen. We can therefore expect him to be able to overtake.
