Max Verstappen will have to start the race from the back of the grid at the Russian Grand Prix. Although the Dutchman has proven in the past that he has the qualities to score many points, he knows better than anyone that it is not easy with the current cars.
Verstappen is battling Lewis Hamilton for the world title this season. As his rival can easily run up many points, Red Bull Racing's driver will be aiming to keep his car on the track. The driver thinks otherwise, he told Motorsport.com .
"Well, within the limits. If you're careful, you won't get past anything," Verstappen stressed.
"You do have to drive forward the way I think you should and then we'll see. It's also largely down to the start and the situation you're in at the time. You can't think too much about that beforehand, you have to do it yourself at that moment."

To Verstappen's relief, Hamilton did not set the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday afternoon. The Brit has to start from P4 and therefore also has a tricky task. "A bit of chaos is welcome, as long as we're not in it ourselves," Verstappen said.
