The Belgian Grand Prix was literally and figuratively ruined by heavy rainfall on Sunday afternoon. The fans along the track saw the drivers drive behind the Safety Car only a few times, after which the race control decided to stop the race definitively.

Spa-Francorchamps was once again buzzing with crowds last weekend with many Dutch people who had crossed the border to catch a glimpse of Max Verstappen. The Dutchman was allowed to start the race from the first starting position, but the drivers were ultimately not allowed to start the GP at all.

Zak Brown realizes the disappointment of the fans and decided to speak out towards them on YouTube. "I think the FIA did everything they could to put on the race. I obviously can't control the weather they do need to put the driver's safety."

Better solution needed from Formula 1

Despite the safety, Brown sees that Formula 1 needs to come up with a solution in the coming period to avoid this situation in the future. "We need a better solution as a sport when that type of situation happens. The outcome should not be a race after three laps behind a safety car."
