On a successful day for McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo struggled to match the pace of his teammate Lando Norris but still secured a points finish in seventh place. However, the Australian had to switch places with Norris in order to allow the young Brit to make a push up the track, one which Ricciardo had to take on the chin.
"That was certainly where I have to swallow my pride and show my pace," explained Ricciardo to Sky Sports. "Then times I could show my pace but then killed the front but they gave me enough time to show my pace."

Race could have been over early

Whilst talking to Sky Sport, Norris reiterated the toughness of the race, explained how a near-crash with his teammate at the start of the race almost occurred and spoke about his happiness of being on the podium again. "Of course I am, you can never be disappointed with a podium. We recovered well from yesterday. It was a tough race and a lot of risky moments. I almost crashed into Daniel at the start. A lot of decision but the right decisions.
