Alonso: "I'm sure he's getting tired of me, because he's not responding"

The 2021 season sees the much-discussed return of Fernando Alonso , who signed a two-year contract with Renault . He is looking forward to it himself: He recently indicated that he would like to go into the wind tunnel with the 2022 car as early as January 1st.

Abiteboul not responding to his texts

In addition, Alonso explained how his future team boss Cyrul Abiteboul has been ignoring his messages. Talking to AutoHebdo, he said: "Coincidentally, I sent him three messages half an hour ago. He has read them, but hasn't responded yet. I'm sure he's getting tired of me, because he's not responding to my messages."

“People seem surprised every time they hear that about me, but that's the way I've always been. In my time at McLaren, everyone was surprised how excited I was about Honda, and they thought I looked happier than I did at Ferrari. But they also noticed my enthusiasm at Ferrari."

He continued: "I've always been the same, but some people don't find out until they've worked with me. I have always been determined to return to Formula 1," said the two-time world champion.
