Qualifying for the Portuguese GP has been delayed due to problems with drain covers on the track.
Sebastian Vettel caused a red flag during FP3 this afternoon as he drove over a drain cover and it came loose and popped up. Qualifying has been delayed by at least half an hour.
There was just a minute left in the session when Vettel hit the drain cover and a red flag was immediately called. The Portuguese marshals need just a bit more time to make sure the drain covers are safe, so hopefully we can get qualifying underway for the first Portuguese GP in 24 years at 2:30pm UK time.
