Ferrari and Mercedes make changes to car: 'Mercedes already working on 2021'

Spa-Francorchamps is the first circuit this where top speed is going to play an extremely important role. The Belgian circuit has a very long straight, but there are also a lot of fast corners in the circuit. A good balance between top speed and downforce in the corners is therefore very important and Ferrari and Mercedes already seem to respond to different setups.

The Italian branch of Motorsport.com have suggested Ferrarii are taking two different front wings to Spa. It is striking that Charles Leclerc's wing settings are a lot less sharp than those of Sebastian Vettel. 

Is Mercedes already focusing on 2021?

The expectation is that Ferrari will drive with both wings on Friday, to make a decision on Saturday how they will classify their setup for the Belgian Grand Prix. In the opening races Ferrari lagged behind at top speed, so this weekend could be a challenge for them.

Mercedes are also making a number of changes. However, these changes are not specific to this weekend. According to Motorsport.com, the team are going to experiment with slots on the floor, because certain parts on the floor will be banned from next year.
