Last weekend, Bubba Wallace fell victim to racism. The NASCAR driver found a noose in his own pitbox, it is still unclear how it got here. All drivers who are active in the American racing class have made themselves heard and Lewis Hamilton is proud of that.
The noose serves as a symbol of intimidation against the black population in America. The NASCAR drivers expressed their dissatisfaction with the incident in a special way.
All 39 drivers and the crew marched down the pit lane and pushed Wallace's number 43 car to the front of the track. Then an emotional Wallace climbed out of his car with tears in his eyes. The employees of the Talladega Superspeedway circuit held up a sign with #IStandWithBubbaWallace.

All this can count on the approval of Hamilton. The six-time Formula 1 World Champion states on his Instagram account: "So proud of everyone in Nascar for standing together and showing up in the face of adversity and discrimination! This is how it should be as we are one race.”
