Red Bull (again!) win fastest F1 pit stop award in Abu Dhabi

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing have continued their streak of pit stop awards into the summer break after setting the benchmark time in Abu Dhabi. Their pitstop on Max Verstappen lasted 2.06 seconds which was just enough to beat Mercedes

This is the ninth time Red Bull Racing have picked up this award in 2019, equal with the Williams pit crew's total. In Mercedes final pitstop of the season, team boss Toto Wolff was casting a keen eye over the crew as they pushed for the record. It wasn't to be and they were 0.05 seconds short of the fastest time that weekend.

Red Bull Racing broke the world record time on three occasions in F1 2019. The record currently stands at 1.82 seconds which was set in Brazil. In between the final two races of the year, Red Bull Racing took the skies to perform a zero-gravity pitstop.
