Giovinazzi knows he can achieve much more than Austria P10

Alfa Romeo driver Antonio Giovinazzi was understandably delighted after scoring his first points in Formula 1 at the Austrian Grand Prix two weeks ago, but he is aware that he has the capability to do much more this season.

Giovinazzi's P10 finish got him off the mark this season, but with just one points compared to his teammate Kimi Raikkonen's 21, the Italian knows he has more to give.

His car is solid enough and it is down to him now to regularly reach Q3 and make the top ten in races.

He said: “Scoring points in Austria felt good, but I feel there is so much more we can achieve. We were competitive and we were able to extract more performance from our car than we had in the past, which is an encouraging sign for the future.

“Silverstone, as a track, should suit our car and I am confident we can fight once more for points. I definitely had a taste of the top ten now and I want to keep scoring points – perhaps without losing my hair as a consequence!”
