Lewis Hamilton's controversial victory at last weekend's Canadian Grand Prix means that a Mercedes driver has now won every race this season, and nine in a row in total, and Red Bull's Max Verstappen believes this is having a negative impact on the viewing enjoyment for the fans.
Verstappen is in the form of his life in F1, consistenly finishing on or at least near the podium in every race this season, with fifth in Montreal his worst finish so far.
His Red Bull isn't really good enough to allow him to compete with the Mercedes duo of Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, which is obviously frustrating for him, but he believes it is also annoying for the fan to watch.
Verstappen told De Telegraaf newspaper: "You can say a lot about Mercedes right now, but they are doing better than everyone else. It's just not good for the viewer.
"I like to watch MotoGP because you never know who's going to win. They are much closer to each other and a customer team can also fight to win. It would be nice if we could learn something from that."
