It has been revealed that the future of the Italian Grand Prix at the classic Monza circuit is not safe yet, due to economic difficulties of the region.
Monza is one of the classic F1 tracks and has been on the calendar since the beginning, but with Imola and potentially Mugello in the running to host an Italian Grand Prix, Monza could be missing sooner than we think.
Aci boss Angelo Sticchi Damiani said: "We continue the negotiation with F1 to quickly reach the signing of the contract.”
Italian publication Automoto added: "The problem lies in the political relations with the town of Monza.

"At Monza, there are apparently huge economic demands that according to the Aci risk putting the historical venue out of action."
