Nico Rosberg, former teammate to Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes, has celebrated the Briton's move to Ferrari this year, admiring the 'hunger' behind the seven time world champion's late career move.
After having fought Hamilton most ardently so during the 4 years they spent together as teammates, during which Rosberg beat him to the championship once, in 2016, the German has sinced moved to an investing career and makes frequent appearances on Sky Sports commenting on the ins and outs of F1. Although sometimes critical of his former teammate, this time he commends the Briton on his late, and quite probably last, F1 team swap.

Does Hamilton have anything to prove?

"Lewis is driven by a deep love for the sport and the desire to continue pushing himself beyond his limits," said the German in an speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport. A change like the one he will face this year can rekindle the passion."
In the late stages of his career, does Hamilton still have anything to prove? Rosberg doesn't think so. "Lewis is already a legend, he would have nothing to prove, but his choice shows the hunger of a man who wants to continue to grow, both as a driver and as a person," concluded the German world champion.
