Alexander Albon is looking forward to his first Grand Prix and says that he is 'happy' with his car. Toro Rosso performed well during winter testing and Albon said that his car is consistent and that they took a lot of positives away from Barcelona.
Albon is among many young drivers making their Formula 1 debuts this season but the youngster is in a really good position to impress.
"We're just happy with the car, there's no nasty surprises," Albon said to F1i.com.
"In high speed, low speed and medium speed, the car's more or less consistent. There's no nasty surprises so the confidence is really good.
"There's not an area specifically we really need to target, but we need to fine tune the car."
It's just been steady," he added. "We hit the ground running pretty fast, to be honest, I think we already had a good baseline coming into the first day of testing.
"Since that, we've just been trying things out and seeing what works for us."
When asked about preparation for his first Grand Prix Albon said, "I still don't really believe it, it won't hit me until I'm there,"
"It's not the easiest circuit, and it'll be a bit eye-opening, but I'm excited."
Drivers and fans do not have long to wait until the start of the season now as racing gets underway on the 17th in Australia.
