Three Formula 1 teams based in the UK along with David Richards, the head of Motorsport UK want to remove any fears that may come with a hard Brexit by approaching Theresa May about the outcome of a no deal.
The UK is due to leave the European Union on the 29th March and a hard Brexit could obscure custom requirements for races in Europe with, eleven races taking place there throughout the season.
Speaking at the Autosport International Show David Richards spoke about the proud history the UK has in F1.
"Something we should be so proud of is the top F1 teams and world champions based here," said Richards.
As well as custom requirements, recruitment and import and exporting of products would also take a hit if the UK faced a no deal or a hard Brexit.

Richards is aiming to make the transition for F1 teams as easy as possible.
"[And] we’re going to make their lives difficult.
“We’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen." Added Richards.
