Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene thinks that his star driver Sebastian Vettel will be champion with the prancing horse sooner or later, as the Italian is convinced that all the work he and the team put in will eventually pay off in the form of a championship.

Since Kimi Raikkonen did it in 2007, Ferrari haven't won a drivers' championship. Their last constructors' championship came a year later in 2008, which will be ten years ago this year. Arrivabene knows this, and he also realizes that the team haven't won anything since he came to the team four years ago.

"Since I [have been at the team], Ferrari have not yet won, I'm making that clear," Arrivabene told Gazzetta dello Sport as a guest at the Festival dello Sport di Trento.

"The world championship is an impossible mission but it's not over."

Speaking about his driver Vettel, he explains that the 30-year-old needs a car that fits him like a glove in order for him to get wins for the team. He even compared the German to his fellow countryman Michael Schumacher, who of course won many championships in his years at Ferrari.

"Sebastian Vettel needs a tailor-made car.

"When I hear him on my headphones, it's like I'm speaking to Michael Schumacher.

"He's also German, but he's very Italian... His father Norbert took him to Italy since he was young and he always passed Maranello to breathe the air of Ferrari.

"I'm sure that with the commitment we all have, he will succeed in winning with us - sooner or later he will be champion of the world with Ferrari."
