The news all across the world right now is the spread of coronavirus. Covid-19 is playing havoc with everybody's lives and F1 is no different, with four races already cancelled and more postponements likely. Given the current situation, a 2020 season may not be possible, but here's how it could work...
Effectively, the summer break can be now, and we can race through to normal three week break in August. This would cause triple headers and many back-to-back events, so it is unknown if teams will be up for it.
Chase Carey and Ross Brawn reportedly want to have a plan in place by the end of the week, with the season potentially starting in Baku on June 7.
The next few races will continue at their normal dates, with the Spanish and Dutch races filling in the usual summer break.
It's suggested that Vietnam could find a space either side of the race in Japan, with Abu Dhabi pushed back a week to allow for the Bahrain GP. This would cause a quadruple header, with four races in four weeks.
However it may be curtains for street races in Australia and Monaco, with more notice needed to prepare their tracks. Also, it is unclear whether China will re-open itself to host a race this season.
