Haas is set to miss the post-race test at the Hungaroring in just over a weeks time. The American team believe the test isn't beneficial to them enough to warrant running and will instead focus on data analysis from the recent Pirelli tyre test at Silverstone.

Speaking to RACER, team principal Gunther Steiner said the team would use their time to focus on data it gathered from the Silverstone test rather than run unnecessarily in Hungary.

“Instead of participating in the test in Hungary, Haas F1 Team is using the time to analyse the data it received from its recent Pirelli tyre test at Silverstone, from past grands prix and from our simulator work.

“Between the data our drivers have been able to gather that is directly applicable to their driving styles in our cars, and this current run of five races in six weeks, we determined our time was best spent at the factory.”

Haas will also have another headache going into the summer break after F2 outfit Trident dropped their developmental driver Santino Ferrucci after the American was handed a four-race suspension for a series of bizarre incidents over the British GP weekend.

Haas commented on the situation saying that they would decide the future of Ferrucci over the summer break.
