McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl was mentioned in rumours circulating about Mattia Binotto's possible departure from Ferrari. The German denies that he has anything to do with the seat swap that may be going on at Ferrari.

Seidl denies being pivotal in Ferrari rumours

Ferrari president John Elkann's patience is said to have run out, leading to rumours that Binotto will no longer be at the Scuderia's helm as team boss next year. Immediately, names have already surfaced for whom Ferrari would like to swap the current team boss. Ferrari would be looking for a team boss with experience, with the names of Seidl and Laurent Mekies dropping alongside Frédéric Vasseur.

In addition, ServusTV reports that Seidl's name has also been dropped as a possible replacement for Vasseur at Alfa Romeo, should Vasseur take Binotto's place. Calling Seidl a sought-after candidate, the medium asked him what is true of the rumours. Seidl: "I have a job at McLaren and I am still committed for several years. I am focusing on that job. I don't want to participate in these speculations. I am happy with my work at McLaren and we are moving in the right direction. That's where all my energy is at the moment."
