Haas has got the taste for it in Formula 1 this season. While the American team remained pointless in the standings last year, that has changed this season. Guenther Steiner is very satisfied with the performance of the team, but thinks there is still room for improvement.

In the past, Steiner experienced with Haas what the team is capable of. With a fifth place in the constructors' championship in 2018, the Americans came out on top. The team boss therefore hopes to be up against the top teams more often.

Steiner has clear plan of action

With Haas already finishing in the top ten this season with Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher, Steiner is confident that his team will continue the line in the coming years. He has an important goal in mind for this, he told Racer.

"I think at the end of these regulations not to win races, but at least hopefully we can aim for podiums," he revealed. "That is the aim. But all of the other teams have got the same opportunity, they are also in the budget cap, we must never forget that."

Steiner expects Haas to finish higher than last season in the constructors' championship, giving it more to spend in 2023. In this way, he hopes, among other things, to continue the trend in the new season and make it harder for the competition.
