Sergio Perez topped FP3 in Baku with a 1.43.170 around the street circuit ahead of qualifying. After winning the Monaco Grand Prix, the Mexican is in a solid position heading into the business end of the weekend.

After a delayed start due to a crash in F2 which damaged the barrier, Perez’s Red Bull was fastest with Charles Leclerc finishing the session in 2nd place.

It was a largely uneventful session with Max Verstappen completing the top three with Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris rounding off the top five.

With 10 minutes to go, Valtteri Bottas brought out the yellow flag after running wide and the Alfa Romeo struggled to turn his car around but was soon back underway ready to finish the session.

Daniel Ricciardo had a good session, ending FP3 just 0.058s behind his McLaren team-mate Norris.

Lewis Hamilton is down in 12th place and struggled with a lot of bouncing throughout the session.

After the delayed start to FP3, the FIA have confirmed that qualifying will start 15 minutes later than scheduled.
