The Imola Grand Prix, scheduled for next week, will be Ferrari's first home race this season. The team will therefore certainly want to continue the strong performance from the first three races, but Charles Leclerc warns that Ferrari should not put extra pressure on itself.

Leclerc has already managed to grab a sizeable lead in the Driver's Championship after three races. George Russell is on P2 with a difference of 34 points, but rival Max Verstappen sinks further down after two crashes at the start of the season.

It is still early, but still Ferrari is looking good. The team seems to have reliability well in hand and at the Australian Grand Prix Red Bull could not keep up with Leclerc's pace.

Leclerc warns ahead of Imola

Ferrari will want to do everything possible to have two successful home races in Imola and Monza, but the Monegasque knows the pressure will increase during the next race weekend. "I think it’s extremely important not to put extra pressure on ourselves and not try to overdo things. We’ve been working as a team extremely well since the beginning of the season and we just need to keep doing our job, just like we did in the first three weekends," Leclerc is quoted by Racer.com.

Last year, Leclerc and Carlos Sainz narrowly missed out on the podium in Imola and the team had to watch as rival McLaren with Lando Norris did finish on the podium. This year Ferrari will be hoping for a better result, especially now that the team has the lead in the championship.
