MotoGP Full Qualifying Results: Marquez on pole, big crash for Bezzecchi

It was a fiercely competitive qualifying session in the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring with several riders gunning for pole position.
In the Q1 session, it was Bagnaia and Quartararo who put in the fastest laps and advanced though, with the Honda duo of Joan Mir and Luca Marini narrowly missing out along with Diogo Moreira.
Marco Bezzecchi then suffered a big high side on his second flying lap in Q2, which certainly won't help his already less-than-ideal physical condition, let alone his championship challenge. His teammate Jorge Martin also appeared to struggle and only managed a P9 finish.
Marc Marquez put in a great lap to usurp Di Giannantonio and Raul Fernandez at the top, and was then joined on the front row by younger brother Alex Marquez - who incredibly is still recovering from a fractured neck vertebrae he suffered in Catalonia.

Fabio Quartararo was very impressive to finish in P6 while Pecco Bagnaia will be disappointed to start on the fourth row.

Moto3 qualifying was ecery bit as dramatic with surprise eliminations for Valentin Perrone and Guido Pini in Q1, while championship contender David Almansa has retired from the weekend due to health issues. Quiles, who suffered a nasty crash during Friday practice, managed to recover and qualify in P4. However, it was Brian Uriarte who once again gave an impressive showing to take pole position by a very narrow margin from Marco Morelli and Hakim Danish. All indications are that it should be a cracking race tomorrow in Moto3.
